A conversation between Máret Ánne Sara and Agnieszka Wisniewska
For the second episode of the “New Activists of European Culture” series, a partnership with We are Europe, we went to Lyon, France. Strolling along the river we ended up at university Lumiére Lyon 2, the venue of European Lab, the conference part of Nuits Sonores festival. In the first scents of spring we found the perfect place near the Ródamo river - an ideal spot for talking about how we all should be more socially and politically active.
A conversation between Máret Ánne Sara and Agnieszka Wisniewska
With students shouting in the streets, fighting for their rights in the background, we met with Máret Ánne Sara and Agnieszka Wiśniewska. Both talked how we all need to step up and be a active individuals, show that we are not afraid. If we want to not only resist but be part of the change, we need to speak politics, behave on a one-to-one scale with those we consider to be responsible. Because today resistance is not enough.
“
For me, the keyword is not necessarily “responsibility” but “need”. It’s a real need to protect, to shout out about what is happening.
