Daniel Brereton

Daniel Brereton, illustrator and director in London, has been revealing himself as a revolutionary director on the music videos’ world.

Connan Mockasin, Django Django, Kindness and Metronomy are some of the many artists he already worked with as director. Besides that, he also has directed commercials for brands like Carlsberg and Eastpak. The artist was always connected to draw. At the age of 14, while he attended a basic course on Art and Design in Lancaster, Daniel Brereton started by drawing CD covers for bands. Later, he moved into London to study Graphic Design on Camberwell College of Arts, where he realized that what he really wanted to do was to produce videos. Brereton did his own versions of well known films.

Django Django’s “Pause Repeat” is one of Daniel Brereton’s last works. It is a colorful and a very dynamic music video that focus on different objects – from a basket ball to 3D glasses – and on a man who is at one moment holding a strawberry and at another one laying on the grass.
