Becky & Joe
When the two met, Joe was studying digital animation and Becky was studying plastic arts. United by the common taste of exploring the world of animation, they started making some works together, always with the same motto: fun. Nowadays you can find several videos with the unmistakable style of Becky & Joe. Colourful fantasies coming to life through experimental techniques, where they use materials like felt and plasticine.
Also known as the “super-duo” of the animation, Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling are the directors of the most recent and so talked about video of the band Tame Impala, “Feels like we go backwards”. It’s a movie made up of more than 1000 colages of plasticine, all individually handmade. They also have the video for the song “Swim and sleep” from the band Unkown Mortal Orchestra.
Individually, each one of the artists has had works scattered around a very difersified list of clients such as Neckelodeon, Cartoon Network, BBC, Canal 4 and Selfridges.
